anyone else feel this way about "dating"?
i mean honestly. (stick with me for a sec)
i know i'm only 17 but i already feel like i want to find a girl i can be with long-term. when i feel a connection i get attached easily because i'm an emotional little italian fool, but the thing is, all these girls always just go through guys like it's a frickin game. they either want me to impress them and be their perfect precious prince charming, or i get dumped. they don't attempt to understand me at all... just party and be crazy at this age and you're good to go right!? frickin hate that ****.
i'm sure some girls feel the same toward guys, but i don't know. i just hate it when i feel like i'm just going to be a toy to a girl that's gonna dump me after she has no more use. it kinda hurts knowing my girlfriend has dated so many guys before.

I know you don't want to hear this, but don't despair...your time will come in this world - it's just not for a few more years.
Be patient. Maybe sit out of the dating game for a little while. If you see someone you mmight like to share your life with for a time, give it a shot, but don't be surprised if you have to wait until you're a little older to find a girl that will appreciate the kind of man you are.
What's funny is I married a guy that was older than me because I was sick of how superficial all the younger guys were. Not that I am terribly ugly or something, but I really hated the games they played. I found that older guys were more like you were: ready to settle down and have a long term relationship.
When you get out of the little secluded world that is high school, you will find that there are TONS of girls, even younger ones (late teens, early 20's) that want what you want, and have stayed out of the dating game to find someone just like you! 
Be patient, you are on the right track and you will find that though pop culture says nice guys finish last, it's wrong. Nice guys finish the happiest!
